| Brief Bio: |
Shih-Chung Ben Lo received his PhD in medical physics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1986. Dr. Lo then worked as an MRI system engineer for Philips Medical System in Shelton, Connecticut. In June 1987, Dr. Lo joined the Imaging Physics Division of the Radiology Department at Georgetown University Medical Center as a Research Professor of Radiology. Dr. Lo has worked on computer-aided diagnosis for more than twelve years. Currently, Dr. Lo is also actively involved in the development of a new ultrasound imaging system using a CMOS based piezoelectric sensor. His research interests include CAD/CADx, attenuation ultrasound imaging, MRI and CT image reconstruction, medical image compression, image processing, and physiology study of acupuncture.
